Olalla Trading Company Fishing Pier

Positive Olalla Projects is working on the plans to develop a fishing pier in the small south Kitsap hamlet of Olalla. How will this pier impact subsistence fishers in Kitsap County? We don't know yet, as the subsistence fishers have yet to be identified.

Harper Pier under threat from Kitsap Transit

January 1, 2023

Kitsap Transit has added Harper Pier as a possible site for the maintenace and docking facility for the Kitsap Fast Ferry fleet. Kitsap Transit has proposed to buy the site and has already invested serious money into the project. This has all been done without community involvement, ignoring the voted-on site at Southworth in favor of pushing out recreational, and subsistence fishers, SCUBA divers, kayakers, birdwatchers and local businesses.
